Community Guidelines

The LumiFrame Community is a place for owners, families, and beta testers to ask questions, share setups, report bugs, and help shape the product. These guidelines keep the space useful and welcoming.

By posting or replying, you agree to follow them. For the broader product rules, see our Terms of Service.

#The short version

• Be kind and helpful.
• Stay on topic and use the right category.
• Protect privacy, yours and everyone else’s.
• No harassment, hate, spam, or illegal content.
• Report problems instead of escalating them.

#Be kind and helpful

Talk to people the way you’d talk to a friend setting up a frame in their kitchen.

• Assume good intent, especially with setup questions.
• Disagree with ideas, not people.
• Don’t pile on, mock, or shame someone who’s stuck.
• If you know the answer, share what worked, screenshots and steps are gold.

Official LumiFrame team posts are marked clearly. Treat those as source-of-truth product updates.

#Use the right category

Pick the category that matches your post so the right people can find it:

• Help, setup questions and practical how-to advice
• Feature requests, ideas for what LumiFrame should do next
• Bug reports, something broken, unexpected, or unreliable
• Show & tell, real frame setups and inspiration
• Announcements, team-only updates (members can read, not post)

Before starting a new Help thread, skim existing posts and the Guides. A quick search often gets you unstuck faster.

#What belongs here

Good community posts include:

• Clear setup or troubleshooting questions
• Reproducible bug reports (what you expected vs. what happened)
• Thoughtful feature ideas with the problem you’re trying to solve
• Frame layouts, casting tips, and family-sharing workflows others can learn from
• Polite follow-ups when something is fixed or still broken

#What doesn’t belong here

Do not post content that:

• Harasses, threatens, or demeans another person
• Includes hate speech or incitement of violence
• Shares illegal content, malware, or scams
• Spams, floods threads, or pushes unrelated promotions
• Impersonates LumiFrame staff or another person
• Doxxes someone or shares private information without consent
• Includes sexually explicit material that violates our Terms

We may remove posts or replies that break these rules, and we may suspend or ban accounts for repeated or severe violations.

#Protect privacy and family content

LumiFrame is built around real family memories. In the Community:

• Don’t share other people’s photos, videos, names, addresses, or contact details without clear permission.
• Blur or crop faces and personal details when a screenshot isn’t essential to the question.
• Don’t post private invite links, guest share URLs, passcodes, or account credentials.
• If a thread needs account-specific help that includes personal data, contact [email protected] instead of posting it publicly.

#Reporting and moderation

If a post or reply feels unsafe, abusive, or off-rules:

1. Use Report thread or Report reply from the overflow menu.
2. Or email [email protected] with a link and a short description.

Moderators may edit titles for clarity, move threads to a better category, lock threads, or remove content. Removed content may not be recoverable.

If someone is bothering you in shared albums or elsewhere in the app (not just the Community forum), see Blocking and Safety.

#Asking good questions

A little detail goes a long way:

1. What are you trying to do?
2. What did you expect to happen?
3. What actually happened?
4. Which devices, plans, or frames are involved?
5. What have you already tried?

Those five answers turn a vague “it doesn’t work” into something the community can actually solve.
